You should be able to be friends with anybody but make sure you be careful if their trouble makers be careful what they want you to do or incourage you to do. I feel like your parents should advise you who to be friends with but you should be able to choose who you want and don't want to be friends with. But the main decision should be yours in my opinion. I think that parents have a right to influence us to who we can or can't be friends with, but we should have a bigger say because we are the ones playing with them and seeing them everyday. Parents shouldn't tell us who are friends are going to be and who we have to hang out with but we are responsible for making the right chose and to who we chose to hang out with. I think that it would good if parents give you advice to some traits good friends have and what they do.
they have a right to that power but it doesnt mean that we have to listen to them and not be friends with certain people if they dont like them what matters is if we like them
Meh, I don't really know. They should say no to people that are mean towards them or that use them. But if they say no because of there colour, that's just racism, you could still be there friend.
This has never been a problem for my parents and I. If I make a friend it’s because they’re nice to me and I enjoy spending time with them. I think that my parents trust my judgement in friends. Over the years I have never been influenced by friends. I parents raised me to make my own decisions and be independent.
Parents should influence there kids who to be friends with because if there racist, then they won't let anyone with a different religion or color in their house. Your parents wouldn't learn about different cultures. Parents shouldn't take over you life it not just your parents life it's also yours so live it to the max even if your parents don't like your friend and they tell you right in your face just keep hanging out with that person, unless their having a bad impact on your life, how you know if you're really friends, you make them feel like how you want to be treated, if you don't do that well it's to bad. If your parents tell you, don't be his/her friend because he/she is different from your family that's when you tell them that your friend is making you a better person or is making you happier. If they say that your friend smells like something you would smoke then that's when you just stay away because they'll be forcing you to try things and then it all goes downhill ( i watch way to many movies ). Again another short blog i couldn't think of anything else.
I do not think parents should influence who you are friends with. For one, they might not know them as well as you do and you should never give up a friendship because someone says you should. On the other hand, I think we should be able to talk to our parents about the person. Our parents could guide us, give their opinion on why the person might not be a good friend. In the end, I believe the decision should be left up to you. A big factor for this is, your parents might just not like the person or the way they act however to ban their friendship that is not ok. Thank you for reading.
I think you should be aloud to choose who you are and aren't friends with. Parents should be aloud to suggest but not tell you who your aloud to hang out with, except if they’re bad people. Kids should be aloud to make mistakes the parents should not be super protective all the time because if the kids don't make mistakes they won't know what to do when there alone. Thank you for reading my blog!!!
I don’t think parents should pick and choose who are friends with, I personally think you have the right to pick who your are. Parents are aloud to make opinions of who your friends should or not be. I listen to parents opinions especially if it is a negative one. Sometimes my parents are right sometimes they aren’t. That’s why I take they’re opinions in to consideration.
I think parents have a say or a suggestion of what their children should be friends with. They should advise them to be with the right friend group. But, mostly I think children should pick their own friends because everyone is different and parents don't understand what their child looks for in a friend. If your parents disagree with your new friend because maybe the're a bad influence maybe you should listening to your parents that time and make new friends. It helps you by making new friends because then your personality will come out more and you will be more friendlier. Overall, it is important to know which friend group you are more friendlier with.
No because they don’t know how good or bad my friends are and its my life so i can chose. I think people with over protective parents are really secretive and try to hide things and are stressed alot my dad was very over protective but i dont live with him anymore so now im with my mom who is really chill and doesn’t care what i do as long as i dont kill anyone or myself or do drugs
I don't think your parents should say ''Be friends with him, stay away from that guy because he looks like he's a crybaby'', but I DO think your parents should tell you about unhealthy relationships and how to identify them. But they definitely shouldn't force you to make your friends a certain way. That would just be bad parenting. Done
I think your parents should not decide who you should be friends with because they might just assume that the person is bad but really he's not. If your friend is a troublemaker, then your parents should decide. I also think parents should decide who you can hangout with just to make sure that person does not make you do bad things.
