The Olympic Games in South Korea will draw the attention of many Canadians.

Have you ever dreamed of being an Olympic athlete?

Will you watch some of the events? Which events? Will you be cheering for Canada?

What one WINTER sport do you think you'd compete in?

Explain.

  1. HAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAAHA, me dreaming of being a Olympic athlete what a great joke! Meh, sometimes my parents just surf the Channel Guide and we see 2018 Winter Olympic Games and we watch it for a little but I don't think I will watch. Yeah I will be cheering for Canada. If I had to choose a winter sport for me to be in, it would probably be NONE!

  2. Oh... Lets see what i can write about in this blog...
To answer your questions, No, i have never dreamed in being a Olympic athlete. I won't be watching any of the events and i'm not very interested. But, I cheer for Canada in other ways. In fact, I didn't even know the Olympics were happening. But, if you forced me to play a sport It would need to envolve driving or something of that nature :). I don't follow any sports tho.
Something makes me think this blog was to find out what i could think of writing about. Well, you got a decent blog this time :)

  3. I never thought about joining the olympics because it I never really like to play winter activities because I'm more into swimming and soccer. The winter olympics this year don't look that good because for the men's hockey no one from the NHL are going to be there because I wanted to see McDavid and Crosby on the same line destroying everyone. I won't be watching the games because one it's in south Korea and the timeline is different because it's morning now in Korea and also because I think that the olympics are going to be boring this year with all fake people there and people figure skating not really my thing to watch. Thanks For reading

  4. I have never dreamed of being an Olympic athlete but now that I think about it, it would be really cool. Yes I have already started watching some of the events one for example the snowboarding. I am also very excited to watch more of the women’s hockey team because they will try to get a fifth gold medal five years in a row. Yes I will be cheering for CANADA! The Olympic event I would like to compete in would be snowboarding; because I would love to fly in the air with a snowboard (BTW I don’t snowboard).

  5. Have I ever dreamed of participating in the Olympics? No. I probably won't watch the events either, though I'm not sure. Of course, wether I watch the Olympics or not, I will be cheering for Canada. No exceptions. Finally, I don't do sports. I just havebad memories for each and every sport there is, except for ringuette, and I don't play ringuette anymore.

  6. No, I have not dreamed of being in the Olympics but I have thought about it and thought that it would be pretty cool to be in the Olympics. Yes I will be watching some events. I will watch any event except for curling because that is a little bit boring to watch. So Far I watched mostly snowboarding and a little bit of speed skating. Of course I will be cheering for Canada, I can't wait to see Canada win metals. I think that I'd compete in Bobsledding because it looks really fun and interesting.

  7. If I’m being honest, I’m not a big fan of the Olympics. I mean it’s really interesting the first couple of times, but after that it gets really boring! You’re just the same thing over and over again but with a different person. Like for example; The ski jump. The first three times I thought is was cool and awesome, but after the fifth person I realized they were just gonna keep on jumping till they beet the best record! I am a big Canadian fan, like every time I see that Canada is playing I would yell: Go Canada! I've never dreamed of being an Olympic athlete. The only thing I see myself doing is soccer. I love soccer, it’s like the only sport I like! That’s why the winter Olympics are soooooo boring for me, (none of the activities really interest me). If I had to choose, I would choose curling. I don’t really know why, I guess I remember me playing it and thought it was fun. Anyway that’s all I have to say about this subject.

I never dreamed about being in the Olympics because I don't watch it or want to be in it I want Canada to win because I support them but if they don't I don't care because I don't watch the Olympics and I am not planning to ever. if I had to do one sport I would do hockey because it is my favorite sport and to be honest I am good at it at least I think and the team suck

  9. Yeah I still dream sometimes about being in the olympics but personally I prefer the SUMMER olympics over the Winter Olympics because I like to swim, Dive, play water polo, bike and a lot more. But if I had to pick a sport in the Winter Olympics it would be snowboarding in the half pipe because I like the stunts and I think I would be good at doing stunts because I was backflipping off a 1m diving board when I was 7.

  10. I don't always watch the olympics every year, but sometimes I'll ask my parents how's Canada doing. Since I'm not very interested in the olympics then I don't really dream about it. The only thing that I enjoy watching are the speed skaters because I play ringette and we skate a lot! I'm ver interest in skating because I actually do it and I find it very fun. I will be cheering for Canada all the way and I think we could win a lot of gold metals because we have strong athletes.

  11. I have dreamed of being an Olympic athlete many times. I watch all the events from figure skating to luge. I like watching them. Of course I cheer Canada but I do like watching other countries compete to see their strengths and weaknesses. For example this morning I watched the men's hockey game (US vs Slovakia) and Slovakia beat the US 3 to 2 in over time. But I realized that Slovakia plays really on their heals and defensive. The people playing are people in the junior hockey leagues like the AHL. The only sport I would be able to compete in is hockey. Sadly the NHL does not want their players to compete in this Olympics so they can carry on with the regular season. Thank you for reading.

  12. I have dreamed once or twice about the olympics but it's fun to watch because it's a good reason to stay up late. The snowboarding is cool like the half pipe and freestyle. I guess I kinda have to shear for Canada but I want to cheer for them anyway. If i had to do a winter Olympics sport it would be biathlon the sport where you do cross country skiing then shoot the targets(sadly in a tights). Thank you for reading my blog!

  13. I’ve always dreamed of being a Olympic athlete, I’ve dreamed of the crowd cheering the country I play for and yelling my name. I always watch the events I love every single one, even if Canada isn’t playing. But if I had to pick and event it probably be snowboarding. I love the intensity of it when they are zooming down the hill, doing tricks and flying threw the air. It’s just so exciting to me. If I played in the Olympics I would probably compete in snowboarding because I just love the adrenaline going down the hill and I already snowboard as a hobby.

  14. I would NEVER want to be an Olympic athlete because I don’t like sports, I don’t follow sports and it’s just not my thing. I probably won’t watch any of the events because again I don’t like sports. I will be cheering for Canada because it’s my country but that’s probably all I will do. I would not compete in any winter sport because I’m not even good at any winter sport.

  16. Nope, I would not want to ever be a Olympian because I feel its mostly a waste of time, and plus the only sport I LOVE is basketball. I have never watched the Olympics so I'm not sure how it works but oh well, no I won't be watching it this year. The reason is, my family is just not interested in that kind of stuff. Well I guess I'll be cheering for Canada, even though I don't watched it (the Olympics). If I could do a winter sport it would be snowboarding. I've always been interested in snowboarding since I was 8, but my mom says it's to much of a dangerous sport, so I can't do it.
