Well i would choose Sidney Crosby because I find he's the best hockey player and he's by far my favourite hockey player. Personally i think he deserves to hold the flag because on the ice he gives it his all every game and I just think he deserves it the most out of all the hockey players in the NHL. If i had to choose a canadian athlete i would chose good old Mr. Hockey ( Gordie Howe) but sadly passed away a couple years ago R.I.P Mr.Legendary. The person I would chose that's alive is Mario Lemieux because he was the best that the coach can ask for. Mario was in the top ten for the most scored goals he had 2 less than being in 9th place so he's standing behind Steve Yzerman with 692 goals. Mario is one of the greatest of all beside Wayne Gretzky which there still is a lot craziness about who's better. Mario should get the honour of raising our flag because he had a tough time just like everyone else out there. Mario was diagnosed with cancer when he was still playing with the pittsburgh he had to quit playing hockey for a while because he could play or else he would make the cancer spread and make everything else worst. Mario was born with health issues and wouldn't it be a blessing if Mario the legend that learned how to speak english alongside another greatest Sidney Crosby. Mario is one of the greatest Canadian you'll find and that's why i think that Mario Lemieux should be the one the one to hold the flag at the 2020 olympics. Thanks for reading:)
What? What? What is going on? I know NOTHING about hockey and from previous blogs you probably know that i hate sports. I really have no idea what to blog about now because I am that crazy that I don't like sports like all the other children in the world but please, give me a break thanks. All i really know is that the Canada flag is red and white with a red leaf. Not much to say...
In this blog it seems that im mad but ill cheer you up with a cringy pun! I was originally gonna get a brain transplant but then, I changed my mind lol.
If I had to choose a Canadian athlete I would choose Andre De Grasse. I choose this Canadian athlete because he was a participant in the 2016 summer Olympics. He participated in 100m sprint,200m sprint,4x100m and the 2x pan am. In all of these events he either got third or higher. Why I would choose Andre de grasse is because he is a very good athlete. In 2016 he went up against Usain Bolt and got third place that is very impressive. I understand that a lot of athletes can do this but he is Canadian. I am not saying that he is the only one that I think should carry the flag there are so many other people suitable for this job.
i don't know any Canadian athlets so i cant really say and i also don't care about the olympics or who carys the flag if i were to chose someone it would have to be some one where if you asked anyone if they knew who the were AND THAT THEY WERENT TERRIBLE PEOPLE
If I were to chose a Canadian athlete to hold the Canadian flag, I would chose P.K Subban. I would chose him because he is a amazing hockey player and he does a lot for the community. Subban is a very funny hockey player and thats why I admire him so much. You could see him try in every game and have a lot of confidence when he is skating. Subban is very kind because he raised money to give to the Children's Hospital and that says a lot. So overall I think that he should deserve to hold that Canadien flag!
To be very honest, I don’t really follow sports so I don’t have my own opinion. I did some research to see who some of the most popular Canadian athletes are. I found that Weigh Gretzky who was born and grew up in Ontario, also known as “The Great One” who was a Hockey player in the NHL. He holds the most records in professional hockey and he inspired many hockey players who play the game today. For these reasons, I think Weigh Gretzky should be the person to carry the Canadian flag.
I don't know any Canadians athletes that compete in the Winter Olympics. If I had to chose someone I would chose Denny Morrison. He is a speed skating and I think that other Canadians athletes would look up to him because he was in a motorcycle accident and he had a stroke, and still competed in the Olympics. I also think that he should carry the Canadian Flag because he competed in the Olympics for 3 years already. He has got lots of medals in the 1000m and 1500m race.
Hayley Wickenheiser She has the same name as me spelt differently She plays hockey like me She played in the olympics I think she deserves it She is also very brave in my opinion and i heard that she was the first girl/woman to play with the boys in a really high level. She was the inspiration of my name. Word count = 61
