  3. I remember as a kid my favorite book by far was where the wild things are. I remember as a kid I would bother my mom every night to read this book. I think the thing I loved so much about the book was that I had a huge imagination as a kid so i would always want that kid in the book to be me. After a couple years that i got introduced to the book they came out with a movie.i remember the first time i saw the trailer i begged my mom to go see it. So a week later me and my mom went and saw it.If you haven’t read the book short story short this kid goes to this island with a boat and finds these huge creatures. So every day he would sneak out go visit them on a boat.

  5. When I was younger, my parents used to read to me every day when I went to bed. The books that would be read to me the most often were Robert Munsch books. However, there is one book that I liked in particular: A Fish Out of Water by Helen Palmer. It's a story about a kid who gets a goldfish and names him Otto. The kid feeds Otto too much and then Otto becomes big and takes up a whole entire public pool.

My Mom told me yes, I read you this story It’s called how dinosaurs say good night. At the time I did not understand what she was saying so I would look at the pictures. This book was in spanish and my Mom only read it to me in spanish never in english.I still have this book, I am probably going to keep it and learn spanish so that I can read it myself someday..

  7. My parents never really read me bedtime stories. However, I recall one particular tale that I often read when I was younger - the story of Beowulf. The story takes place in Danemark, where a warrior named Beowulf became a legend due to his actions.

Long ago terrifying a dragon (yes, I like dragons) named Grendel was known to have annihilated several entire villages and caused the deaths of countless brave knoghts. One day, a courageous warrior by the name of Beowulf decided to confront the beast. After a long battle, Beowulf emerged victorious. He then conquered Grendel's mother, who tried to avenge her son. Because of his victories Beowulf became a hero.
Several years later, however, another dragon became a threat to the population after becoming enraged when bandits stole its treasure. Beowulf, ready to fight his next dragon, picked up his sword and left his village to kill the beast. Alas, when the perseverant warrior tried to strike the creature, his weapon could not penetrate the dragon's tough scales. As a consequence from this, Beowulf had to go back to his village for the knight.
The next morning, Beowulf went to fight the dragon once more, this time with another fighter.
The duel lasted hours, until Beowulf finally managed to land the final blow. He then returned home with the other soldier. Sadly, Beowulf had been bitten by the dragon during the fight and was poisoned. He died a few days after. The End.

Okay, maybe the ending is morbid or messed up, but that was always fine with me, and I liked it anyways.

    4. I don't think you could find it in your average library... It was a french book called 'Les Dragons'. There are more than one story, tho:
      The story of Fafnir,
      The dragon and the pearl
and many more (as well as histories and descriptions of well-knowned dragons like Ladon)

    5. You could try finding it on the internet however

  8. As a child I think my favourite bedtime story was: a giraffe and a half, by Shel Silverstein!  It’s one of those repetitive books that just keeps on escalating with each word.  I loved it when my parents would read it really fast, it would always make me laugh, mostly because when my dad read it fast, his face would turn really red!  My favourite part was, and I quote:  “ you would have a giraffe and a half,
with a rat in his hat, looking cute in a suit,
with a rose on his nose,
and a bee on his knee,
and some glue on his shoe,
    playing toot on a flute,
with a chair in his hair,
    and a snake eating cake,
and a skunk in a trunk,
and a dragon in a wagon,
and a spike in his bike,
and a whale on his tail,
in a hole with a mole.”
In fact I loved this book so much after my dad was done reading it, it wouldn’t make me tired, it would make me hyper!  In my mind this book will never get old, thanks for reading,
    Sierra Nahanni

  9. Before I was four years old most of the books that my parents read to me were in Italian because that’s the language I spoke. I don’t remember any of those stories but I do recall a book that my parents read to me a lot and it became my favorite story. The book is called Thomas The Tank Engine Little Engines Can Do Big Things. In this story Thomas The Tank Engine gets teased a lot by other engines because he’s small and the Engines say that he can’t do anything useful. Thomas ends up finding Lady, a lost engine and a magic railroad. He becomes the hero. This became my favorite story because I could really relate to Thomas because I was always the smallest one in my class. When the smallest engine in the story was the hero it made me feel good.

That's all to say I loved my goodnight moon.

  12. My favourite book when I was younger was Good Night Gorilla I used to love that book because at every time my mom or dad would read it, I would laugh my head off because the zookeeper would say goodnight to all the animals in the zoo and the gorilla was the first one to be sayed goodnight by the zookeeper and the gorilla stole the keys so he unlocked himself then followed the zookeeper to all the cages in the zoo and unlocking them and then the zookeeper went home and all the animals were following him and I found that really funny when I was younger be cause the zookeeper was sleepy and didn't realized them following him.

  13. When I was younger,my mom would always read me "Grover Goes to School" By Dan Elliot. Its about one of the muppets, Grover whos scared to go to school. It's his first day at a new school. He will meet new people AND teachers. Just like us!He's so determined to make friends,he bribes people with his toys. He trades his delicious lunch for a jelly sandwich, his brand new box of crayons, for old broken ones. But by the end he makes real friends. I liked this book so much because I loved the illustrations and the book in general. Now I read this book to m little sister.

  14. My favorite book was "Good Night Gorilla" because it's a funny story. My mom would sit on my bed next to me and would read me the story and I would repeat after her laughing because the gorilla kept opening all the animals cages and the zookeeper didn't even noticed. When the zookeeper goes back to his house, he goes to bed but didn't realized the house was full of animals. The wife put all the animals back to their cages but the gorilla was the only one that still sneaked into their bed.

I was about four or three years old so i was afraid of the doctor but my aunt when she would read she would make movements as the story went on. She would read a lot of stories she was a great reader but then i grew out of bedtime stories so i read on my own since i went kindergarten i learned how to read so i hated to read i would get nervous and started to stutter so the reading thing wasn't for me (sorry if that was a little deep

  17. As a child my favourite book was the B book by Dr. Seuss. This is the first book I could read on my own. The story is about a big brown bear and how he broke a baby bird's balloon. Don't know if you're getting the theme of this book yet, everything in the book starts by the letter "B". When I was little my favourite part was the bus crash (search book on youtube) My parents would read the book so often to me, that I memorised it. As my mom would read, I would know exactly what was coming up on the next page, eventually I would be saying it before she did and I was only 3. It's actually a really funny book. While working on this blog, I watched the youtube video and could not stop laughing. It has Thirty-three different words that all begin with the letter "B". It was written in 1971 by Dr. Seuss. Here is my favourite part: " Big brown bear, blue bull, beautiful baboon blowing bubbles biking backward, bump.... BAM!... black bug's banana boxes... BOP!... AND Billy Bunny's breadbasket... BONK! ...AND Brother Bob's baseball bus!! BOOM!...
Hope you guys have as much fun reading it as I did!

  18. My favourite book when I was little was Love You Forever by Robert Munch. My mom and dad would read to me every night before bed. They would read all different kinds of picture books to me, but my favourite one was Love You Forever. I really enjoyed the illustrations in the book because it shows the different stages of his life and his mother always held him and sang I Love You Forever song at bedtime. Sometimes when my mom was singing the song ,I would try to sing along, and I still know all of the words!

    I’ll love you forever,
    I’ll like you for always,
As long as I am living
    My baby you’ll be.
